Our Priority Waitlist is a paid list for families who want first access to upcoming litters. Once approved, you’re placed in line for priority offers before kittens are listed publicly or shared through our free Kitten Alert List.
Priority works in the order deposits are received. When a kitten becomes available that fits your preferences, we contact you when it’s your turn—before offering that kitten to families further down the list. In many cases, entire litters are placed through the Priority Waitlist and are never posted publicly, and some colors are rarely (or never) available outside the waitlist.
Joining the Priority Waitlist does not guarantee placement, a specific timeline, or a specific kitten. However, it does guarantee priority access and up to five priority offers from us as kittens become available, based on your preferences.
Most families wait several months, and some wait longer depending on preferences and availability. In general, the timeline can range from a few weeks to up to 1–2 years, especially for very specific requests. The more flexible you are, the shorter the wait. We do our best to keep waits reasonable and will communicate honestly as we learn more from upcoming litters.
The $250 deposit secures your spot on the Priority Waitlist and is applied toward your kitten when you reserve one. It is non-refundable unless your application is denied.
We’ll reach out with details about the kitten and next steps. We’ll try to contact you using the info you provide (text, email, phone, and we may also try social media if needed). You’ll have 48 hours to respond. If you accept, we’ll move forward with reservation. If you decline or don’t respond, we’ll offer the kitten to the next family.
If you decline (or miss the 48-hour window), you keep your place on the waitlist, but it counts as one decline. We typically make up to five offers that match at least one of the preferences you selected on your application (or any updated preferences you’ve sent us).
Yes. You can update your preferences, but changing them may affect your timeline. In general, the more flexible you are, the easier it is for us to match you sooner.
General FAQs
Our kittens are typically $3,000–$5,000. Pricing depends on color, coat type, and pedigree, and each kitten is priced individually. Transport isn’t included and is additional if needed.
Yes. Our kittens are raised in our home with our family (including four kids), and they’re handled regularly. That helps them become confident, well-socialized, and comfortable with children and everyday household noises. We don’t have dogs in our home, but British Shorthairs are generally known to do well with dogs after a proper, gradual introduction.
British Shorthairs are known for their calm, sweet temperament and their sturdy, “teddy bear” look. They tend to do well in family homes and are often a great fit for people who want an affectionate cat that isn’t overly demanding.
We hold our program to high health standards, prioritizing temperament, structure, and overall wellness. Our cats and kittens are on a consistent, vet-guided care plan, including routine wellness checks, parasite prevention, and age-appropriate vaccines and deworming.
We keep our program intentionally small and hands-on, and we prioritize temperament, health, and real in-home socialization. Our kittens are raised around everyday family life, and we’re picky about the homes they go to because we care where they end up.
We feed a high-protein diet focused on quality ingredients. We also include raw meat in our cats’ diet, and we introduce raw to kittens when it’s age-appropriate. We’ll share exactly what your kitten is eating so you can transition smoothly at home.
Yes. All of our cats and kittens are TICA registered.
No. Our kittens are placed as pets only. We require spay/neuter, and we release TICA pedigree paperwork after we receive proof that it’s been completed.
Yes. We’re happy to help with transition questions like food, litter, introductions, and general care. We want our kittens to thrive long-term, and we love staying in touch as they grow.
Yes. We work with both local and non-local families. Buyers cover transport costs, and we’ll help coordinate pickup or a flight nanny if needed.
Our cats are indoor-only and we do not allow declawing. If a family can no longer keep their cat, we require they contact us first rather than rehoming or surrendering to a third party.
Once you apply and are approved, a kitten is not reserved until we receive the reservation deposit. The first approved family to submit the deposit secures the reservation. If two deposits come in during the same time period, the second deposit will be refunded unless the family would like to apply it toward a different available kitten.
The reservation deposit secures a specific kitten and is applied toward the purchase price. If you’re on the Priority Waitlist, your $250 is already on file and the additional reservation amount of $750 brings your total deposit to $1,000.
Deposits and fees are non-refundable and applied to the purchase price. In limited situations, a transfer may be considered at the breeder’s discretion.
Kittens go home at 12 weeks of age. On rare occasions, we may delay go-home if it’s in the kitten’s best interest.
You can pick up locally (Winter Garden, Fl.), meet us curbside at Orlando International Airport (MCO), or arrange a flight nanny to take the kitten to your local airport. We’ll help coordinate timing, but transport costs are always the buyer’s responsibility.
Yes. Our kittens are placed as pets only and are not sold with breeding rights. Our contract requires that the kitten be spayed/neutered at the appropriate age, which is also when the owner will receive a full TICA pedigree for their kitten.
Kittens receive a routine deworming protocol, 2 FVRCP vaccines, and a health certificate before going home. Kittens going home beyond 12 weeks may have received additional FVRCP & Rabies vaccines.
We maintain high health standards for our breeding cats and take a proactive, layered approach to wellness. Our program includes regular HCM monitoring, along with screening such as FeLV/FIV testing and blood typing, and we also run genetic panels on many of our adults. We stay consistent with routine veterinary care—including wellness exams, bloodwork panels, and fecal testing (stool tests) as needed—and we quarantine any new cat entering our program to protect the health of our existing cats and kittens.
Our cats are TICA registered, but kittens do not go home with pedigree paperwork. Since kittens are pet-only, TICA pedigree paperwork is released after proof of spay/neuter is provided.
You’ll receive your kitten’s vaccination records and a vet health certificate. Your kitten will also go home with a TSA-approved pet carrier, a small bag of food to help with the diet transition, a blanket that smells like mom and littermates, and a favorite toy.
